Role Overview

The Banking as a Service (BaaS) division is seeking an enthusiastic Trainee Analyst to assist in business intelligence, automated reporting, and foundational analytics workflows. In this entry-level capacity, you will work closely with cross-functional groups to turn raw financial data into actionable insights, enhance dashboard reporting, and streamline data processes using modern analytics tools.

Key Responsibilities

Gather, extract, and structure data from diverse repositories to support operational dashboarding and analytical reporting. Execute data cleaning, transformation, and validation routines using Python, SQL, and analytical spreadsheets. Monitor dataset integrity to identify anomalies and ensure high accuracy across business intelligence outputs. Update, maintain, and refine active business performance reports and analytical decision models. Conduct preliminary exploratory data analysis to detect emerging operational patterns and growth opportunities. Engage with business, technical, and support units to understand reporting requirements and data needs. Participate in workflow optimization initiatives designed to automate recurring manual reports.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant quantitative field. Fresh graduate or up to one year of project/internship experience in MIS, BI, or business analytics. Foundational understanding of programming languages like SQL or Python for data processing. Working familiarity with Microsoft Excel formulas, pivot tables, and visualization techniques. Understanding of core data transformation, validation, and structural organizing methodologies. Strong logical thinking and detail-oriented problem-solving capabilities. Effective interpersonal and communication skills to engage with cross-functional teams.

Must-Have Non-Negotiables

• Basic working knowledge of SQL or Python for data analysis • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and formulas • Understanding of data quality validation and cleansing techniques • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills

Nice-to-Have Skills & Bonus Qualifications

• Professional certifications in Python or Data Analytics • Exposure to business intelligence platforms such as Power BI or Tableau • Familiarity with Banking as a Service (BaaS) concepts or financial data
