Role Overview

The Early Career Programme at LSEG offers a comprehensive 12-month foundational track for ambitious graduates looking to shape the future of global financial markets engineering. Selected candidates will work on impactful live systems across diverse specializations including platform development, cybersecurity, reliability engineering, quantitative modeling, and data science. This structured experience combines technical development with hands-on exposure to scalable, data-driven financial architecture.

Key Responsibilities

Design, construct, and maintain resilient applications and core platform infrastructure supporting global market operations. Assess and mitigate performance risks to guarantee continuous availability and high reliability across critical services. Establish quality assurance protocols to identify systemic vulnerabilities and validate software against enterprise specifications. Implement robust security frameworks and threat monitoring systems to protect sensitive financial network assets. Develop and integrate analytical, machine learning, or financial models to convert complex datasets into actionable system capabilities. Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams following agile methodologies to deploy scalable, high-performance technical solutions.

Qualifications & Requirements

Currently enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor's or Master's degree program (BE/BTech or MCA) in CS, IT, AI/ML, Data Science, or ECE. Anticipated graduation date no later than August 2027. Consistently maintained an academic standing of at least 7.5 CGPA from 10th grade through higher education. Free of active academic backlogs at both the application phase and formal joining date. Demonstrated enthusiasm for technical problem solving, agile collaboration, and software engineering principles. Solid foundational knowledge in programming, algorithms, and analytical reasoning.

Must-Have Non-Negotiables

• Strong knowledge of core Computer Science principles and programming fundamentals • Minimum academic score of 7.5 CGPA throughout all educational levels • Analytical mindset with keen interest in financial technologies and systems • Clean academic history without active backlogs

Nice-to-Have Skills & Bonus Qualifications

• Prior project exposure in Machine Learning, Data Science, or Cybersecurity • Familiarity with modern cloud architecture and agile software development practices • Basic understanding of quantitative finance models and data analytics tools
